Explore and Grow

Posted by Mommas Mania at 9:22 PM 0 comments
The Explore and Grow steps start walk and ride product is a little scooter that your child can sit on and scoot around. He or she can also push it around very easily. As the child starts walking it opens up and has a handle to help the child walk around with it. I found it very easy to assemble. I like the bright colors and the activities on the scooter. It is easy to go from the sitting position to the standing position. When changing to the standing position, it locks into place. The lock is pretty simple for an adult to manipulate. Overall, I like this product.

Safety First Furniture Straps

Posted by Mommas Mania at 12:48 PM 0 comments

I purchased some Safety 1st furniture straps so that we could fasten my daughters’ bookcase to the wall.  The package included four latch straps and screws.  When my husband drilled holes into the bookcase and then screwed the latch onto the bookcase, the screw broke in half inside the bookcase.  My husband pulled out another screw and it was bent in half.  I am really disappointed in such poor quality from a company that is supposed to put safety first.  I emailed the company to inform them of the problem that I had.  It took a few days but they replied.  And in their response they apologized for the delay in response.  They offered to send me a new product.  They were very quick in the delivery of the new product.

PROS:  fairly inexpensive
CON:  poor quality

Boudreaux's Butt Paste

Posted by Mommas Mania at 12:14 AM 0 comments
I find that Boudreaux’s butt paste works on my daughter rash better than any of the other diaper rash cream that I have tried. It clears up her rash within a few days. I like to buy it in the large jar; it seems to be more of a value for the money. The larger jar also is easier for me to use than the tubes. The cream is a little different than other rash creams because it is brown instead of white. I would recommend this product to anyone. I originally received this product as a shower gift and would not hesitate to give it as a gift as well.

RayShade

Posted by Mommas Mania at 8:53 PM 0 comments

I originally bought the RayShade for my trip to Florida because I was concerned about the sun being too strong for my 10-month-old’s tender skin.  I was not impressed with this product.  The shade would really blow around in the wind.  I did not think that the instructions were easy to follow.  I used it on an umbrella stroller.  The stroller has a small canopy and I really struggled to get the shade on.  The canopy on the stroller would slide out from underneath the shade and hit my daughter in the head.  I spent half of the day moving the canopy up and readjusting the shade.  Maybe if I used the shade on a bigger stroller it would work out better.  One positive note is that it is portable and easy to fold up.

PRO: Portable and easy to fold up
CON:  Difficult to set up, flimsy when windy outside
